QSO Song to Symphony | QPAC Concert Hall

Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s final ‘Music on Sundays’ concert for 2021 features a folk-inspired repertoire. Song to Symphony’s program includes Brahms’ famous Academic Festival Overture – a medley of drinking songs arranged for orchestra – Copland’s rendition of the tune ‘Simple Gifts’ in his Appalachian Spring, and Dvorák’s lyrical Silent Wood which started life as a piano piece. In this concert held at the QPAC Concert Hall, Dvorák’s music will be presented as a cello and orchestra arrangement featuring QSO cellist Hyung Suk Bae.
