Alemré Hospitality Group has announced an exciting new addition to South Brisbane’s bustling dining scene – say Hola to Poca Madre!

This new pink desert themed oasis brings a fusion of bold Mexican flavours and sophisticated minimalist style, offering an unforgettable dining experience right in the heart of South Bank. Poca Madre, a playful Mexican phrase meaning “impressive” or “awesome,” embodies the essence of this dynamic space – where flair meets flavour; the atmosphere is as cool as the streets of Mexico.

Accommodating up to 200 guests, Poca Madre’s expansive dining space, complete with an exclusive private dining room for special occasions, seamlessly transitions from relaxed lunches to lively evening gatherings. The minimalist yet inviting design showcases hand-painted murals by Brisbane graphic artist Lisa-Marie Vecchio, blending warm pinks and earthy tones with intricate tiled floors, cactus accents, and varied-height dining tables for a stylish and comfortable atmosphere.

Guests can expect the service to reflect a more refined yet approachable sophistication, with an emphasis on sharing and communal dining. Working with local icons like Fino Foods and Melbourne brand Hunted & Gathered, the menu features an assortment of imported chilies, spices, and locally produced Mexican ingredients. From regional grown corn to artisanal cheeses, guests are invited to share in the joy of bold Mexican dishes that pack a tasty punch.

Notably, Poca Madre also holds the exclusive rights to offer Teremana Agaves, alongside the Don Julio Rosado, the world’s first pink tequila, aged in ruby port wine barrels. To elevate the experience, Poca Madre’s extensive drinks menu is headlined by its standalone side venue, The Margarita Bar. Here, guests can enjoy a signature selection of handcrafted cocktails, including smoky Piña Margaritas and the refreshing Guava Margarita, offering a unique twist on classic Mexican cocktails.

Experience this pink dessert oasis, where Mexico’s bold flavours meet Brisbane’s relaxed vibe. Poca Madre is set to officially open early Spring.
