Lighting of the Christmas Tree

At King George Square at sunset on Friday November, family and friends are invited to celebrate the Lighting of the Christmas Tree. As Brisbane tradition, this event marks the beginning of the festive season, with carolers and free entertainment from 5.30pm. Special guests will join Lord Mayor Graham Quirk to officially light up the Brisbane City Christmas Tree at 6.30pm. This free event is the perfect way to kick off Christmas in Brisbane.
