Theatre lovers were in awe at opening night of La Boite Theatre Company‘s Lysa and the Freeborn Dames at the Roundhouse Theatre on Wednesday 25 July. Inspired by Aristophanes’ Lysistrata this fury fueled “dramedy” centres on a young woman who is on the cusp of her political awakening, grappling with the significance of legacy and self-empowerment in the face of adversity.
