Audience members at the QPAC Concert Hall enjoyed a diverse trio of orchestral works from the Queensland Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alondra de la Parra and featuring Tamara-Anna Cislowska on piano on Thursday 6 September. The concert began with Prokofiev’s first symphony followed by the world premiere of Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin’s Piano Concerto No3 and concluded with Beethoven’s infamous 7th Symphony,  a work not only loved by audiences today but also at the time of writing in 1812.
