Presented by QMusic and Brisbane City Council, the highly anticipated Little BigSOUND will return to Brisbane with a jam-packed program on Saturday 10 November. This year’s program will provide a full day of hands-on experiences for 15 to 25 years old who are looking to gain real-life skills, meet industry experts and build their local music scene.

A range of programs throughout this event will support aspiring musicians and artistes.  There are workshops introduced to young artistes who want to gain the practical skills in the industry. Professional development opportunities such as BIGSOUND and Industry Connect are available as well where there is a one-day program that brings together local booking agents, record labels, producers and digital marketing experts to help participants get their first gigs and publicise their music. All these events are hosted by The State Library of Queensland (SLQ) and Visible Ink’s Enterprise Program.

QMusic will also host Marie DeVita, frontwoman of Brisbane band WAAX, as the Mini Keynote speaker for Little BIGSOUND 2018. Marie will share her journey touching on her personal, creative and industry experiences, performing some of the rawest and unhinged shows on stages across the country. Music software company Ableton has again partnered with Little BIGSOUND to provide access to a suite of the latest technology to experiment with on the day. The Edge’s Digital Media Lab will transform into The Ableton Live studio; where attendees can get hands-on and make music using the next generation of production software and live instrumentation.

These are just the few of the highlights that Little BigSOUND 2018 has to offer and the event promises opportunities to see more promising new artistes in the industry.
