After a sell-out season in Sydney, Queensland Theatre presents rock’n’roll family reunion story Barbara and the Camp Dogs.
By the brilliant Ursula Yovich (Australia, Mother Courage and her Children) and Alana Valentine, Bille Brown Theatre will host the performance in May, under the directorial hand of in demand director Leticia Caceres. Yovich is joined on stage by Troy Brady (Black Arm Band, Troy n Trevelyn and the Tribe) and Elaine Crombie (Top of the Lake, An Octoroon).
On 29 June, the world premiere of the most provocative play to hit the Australian stage in years, City of Gold by electric young actor and writer Meyne Wyatt (Neighbours, Redfern Now) is sure to wow audiences in a show directed by Queensland Theatre’s resident dramaturg Isaac Drandic. Mathew Cooper (Janet King, Redfern Now) and Queensland Theatre favourite Anthony Standish (An Octoroon, The Wider Earth) join the production that calls for change.

2019 is a significant year for many reasons. Queensland Theatre will start the celebrations for the company’s 50th anniversary season (2019 to 2020), which will see the company continue to present work in Brisbane’s newest venue, the Bille Brown Theatre, and at QPAC.
