Italian restaurant OTTO is opening on the former Stokehouse Q restaurant site at South Bank on February 3, whilst StokehouseQ is closing its Queensland operations.
OTTO, which previously operated in Queen Street, Brisbane CBD, is all about celebrating “people, place, and la dolce vita”. OTTO will welcome friends, both new and old, to the newly opened restaurant to experience OTTO hospitality and, in true OTTO style, celebrate our wonderful new home and neighbours.

OTTO Creative director John Fink, says the new space feels perfect for OTTO as the company’s Sydney site is located on Wooloomooloo Wharf on Sydney harbour. OTTO took the opportunity to secure the previous StokehouseQ location when StokehouseQ announced its exit from Brisbane in a statement released mid-late 2020. “With our management team and other important senior members based in Melbourne, and given the extended Queensland border closure to Victoria due to COVID-19, possibly until the next year, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to sell.”
Stokehouse Q has confirmed that gift vouchers from March 1, 2020, will be accepted at OTTO until June 20, 2021.
