Hong Kong artist Bao Ho will be joined by Colombian artist Gris One to add to TRYP Fortitude Valley Hotel, Brisbane’s collection of artworks and murals which currently decorated by artists Fintan Magee, Beastman, Rone and Numskull. Bao Ho and Gris One will each paint a mural at the hotel as part of the Brisbane’s Street Art Festival, which runs until Sunday 15 April.

TRYP Fortitude Vally Hotel Manager Kim Knowles says street art is a key element to TRYP’s identity. “It’s exciting to have some new additions to our collection, which is one of the most popular features among our hotel guests,” Kim said. “We are proud to be able to give artists a platform to display their work while strengthening the street art culture in Brisbane.”

Gris One works around the world creating multicolor compositions inspired by nature and day to day city life. Bao Ho creates freestyle murals and illustrations featuring animated characters. She has collaborated with various international brands and worked on projects across the world, including in Australia, China, Japan, Indonesia, Italy and the Czech Republic.

TRYP Fortitude Valley was originally home to underground street art society before joined TRYP by Wyndham. Each floor at the hotel features works by one of the four original artists and the new artworks will appear in stairwells bridging levels one and two, and levels two and three.
