Celebrating the release of their debut LP Dreamlove Obscura, Banquet Darling are throwing a night to remember at The Bearded Lady in West End on May 13 at 7.30pm. They will be supported by “amazing local talents TYDE and Kelsey Berrington”.

An eclectic showcase of acts including the warm folk melodies of singer-songwriter Kelsey Berrington, the infectious hooks of folk funk rockers TYDE, and the twisted vignettes of Brisbane’s psyche pop wunderkind Banquet Darling; this album launch will ignite the spirit. Dreamlove Obscura is a once in a lifetime kaleidoscopic journey of dreams, love and rock’n’roll. This colourful, bombastic and reverie filled piece of naive art straddles the line between orchestral sophistication and child-like freedom.

Banquet Darling is the musical brainchild and moniker of Meanjin/Brisbane based musician Todd Kilby. Banquet Darling spent the last decade travelling and performing around the globe as circus acrobat, musician and touring director with the world renowned CIRCA Contemporary Circus. From Paris to Hong Kong and everywhere in between, be it hotels, buses, bars or planes, songs were being written … Now they will be released and set loose upon The Bearded Lady.

“Totally Bombastic and exuberant… You’ve never heard an act like this before and we’re certain you never will again”- Alt77.

“Banquet Darling has set about recreating the pop experience” – LifeWithoutAndy,
