Ben O’Donoghue has swung open the doors of Billykart Bar, the nonchalant burger-and-beer expansion of his West End empire.

A folksy, walk-in space, Billykart Bar is located beside the original formal dining space of Billykart. The youngest of his gasto-offspring, Ben assures West Enders that the bar will offer the same size serve of flavour as its siblings.

Manager Ben Roberts said the venue promises a modern twist – one of which is Billykart Bar’s attractive price point.

“We’re offering good, restaurant-quality burgers to match what you’d pay at your local pub or café,” said Ben.

The inspiration behind the menu at Billykart Bar is centred around much-loved staple the Billykart Cheeseburger.

Known and loved for its house made, dry-aged beef patty, cheese, pickles, onion, ketchup, and mustard mayo on an indulgent milk bun, this American foray has inspired an expanded menu of burgers, bar snacks  and more.

But the team will not just be plating up burgers, with truffle and Parmesan fries, cold beers, cheesy jamon croquettes, spicy wings, and mac ‘n’ cheese bites also featuring on the menu.

Already cementing its place as one to watch in Brisbane’s burger scene, its menu items are available to order through UberEats.

The bar has plans to expand the fare in the coming months to include classics like Philly cheese steak rolls, deli-style sandwiches, and fresh tacos.

Billykart Bar is now open from Wednesdays to Sundays 4pm until late. Diners can opt to takeaway, or dine in at 2-4 Edmondstone St, West End.
