Plant-based presenter and Chef Keith Squires has just launched his new book Cooking with Love and is touring Australia answering his top 10 questions about vegan and plant-based foods.

In Australia millions of people are eating more plant based foods or ultimately becoming vegan. The numbers of vegans have doubled in just a few years and are set to rise further still. It is not just a trend it is a food revolution. Restaurants, food chains and manufacturers are rushing to keep up. It is particularly popular with the younger generation who are getting lots of information and recipes from social media, while the over 50s are also looking for natural ways too to boost their health and vitality.

Squires has been teaching vegetarian, vegan and plant-based cooking in the United Kingdom, Europe and India for 30 years. “In my experience lots of people want to change but find the practicalities difficult,” he said. “That is why we wrote a book Cooking with Love full of essential info about plant-based eating.” Squires is also passionate about doing cookery demos and videos so people can see the simplicity behind the process. “I love cooking with people too and I find that is the best way to learn. After making a few simple plant-based meals their confidence goes up and they start to enjoy it, that can last forever,” said Squires.

As Squires travels around the world, he says that he is nearly always asked the same questions about vegan, vegetarian and plant-based foods. Unravel the answers to these 10 questions in his latest book: how do I get enough protein, what fats and oils should I use, is it a healthy and balanced diet, is it expensive, will I put on weight, what can I use to replace the meat, will it take a long time to prepare, is it all rabbit food, is it good for the environment, will it harm the rural economy, what happens to all the farm and domestic animals?
