VOIID, a Brisbane music group, has announced their latest signing with Melbourne label Damaged Records.
In order to celebrate the one year anniversary of their EP, Socioanomaly, they will release a special limited vinyl reissue of the EP in this year. There are 300 copies available in both Red Translucent and Black/Red Marble. It is ready for pre-order now and will be shipped in November.
It is the first time the Socioanomaly EP has been pressed to wax. It is a powerful instalment in the VOIID catalogue, continuing the band’s stride to ‘reinvent the role of female’ and lend a voice to those in need. Socioanomaly talks about a girl who is considered anomaly in the society because of her appearance and perspective. It attempts to convey the social issues that affect the society and people who have similar experiences can feel a sense of recognition.
VOIID is the third band that sign with Damaged Records. Damaged Records is a label founded by Melbourne punk band Clowns in 2018. They have been keeping a keen eye on how VOIID continued to kill it as recording artists and live performers. “We love this band and the work they do. We can’t wait for you to hold a copy of this powerful 12″ EP and hear some more of the band’s music currently in the works!” Damaged Records said.
The band also expressed their excitement, noting, “This is such a massive step for us as a band we can’t even put it into words. We absolutely love the team and cannot wait for all the exciting things we’re gonna work on together.” Pre-order Socioanomaly EP from Damaged Records
