Embrace artisan culture at The Collective Markets at South Bank. Move away from the mainstream and enjoy searching through the rare, handmade and unusual at the weekly designer market.

The Collective Markets are a colourful and exciting platform for entrepreneurs, designers, creatives and vintage collectors to showcase their wares. From eclectic and effortlessly cool fashions, to handmade jewellery, art and stylish homewares, the market has something for everyone. Temptation itself dwells in the 100 or so stalls brimming with the cool and the quirky. It’s a place to meet the makers and their stories; see the skill and passion behind each handcrafted piece. Live music played by local musicians will make your Friday night soundtrack, while Brisbane’s best cafes, bars and restaurants serve up all manner of delicious dishes. The Collective Markets, formerly known as the South Bank Lifestyle Market, were transformed in 2014 to include a broader product offering and more contemporary feel, offering greater opportunities for emerging designers and artists to showcase their products each weekend.

The markets trading hours are Friday nights, 5pm until 9pm, Saturday 10am until 9pm, and Sunday 9am until 4pm. On the first Sunday of each month you can also enjoy the fashionable Young Designers Market, open from 10am until 4pm, at Little Stanley Street. The Young Designers Market features a range of talented new designers, providing the opportunity to buy quality cutting edge styles from designers who are on the up and up! Whether you are there for the shopping, the live music, great food or community atmosphere, The Collective Markets are not to be missed.
