Onespace Gallery hosted a double opening of Jay Younger’s Demagogues and Megalomaniacs and Amy Carkeek’s Welcome to the Dreamhouse at its Highgate Hill studio on Friday 3 August. Guests were left in awe by Amy’s nostalgic world built by photographed mass produced ceramic figurines sanded back to reveal hollow façades, and Jay’s smoke and mirrors wash of colour, revealing notorious politician’s hidden agendas. Both exhibitions will run until Saturday 25 August.
