Southbank diner Denim Co. just got even cosier for winter with a new Winter Warmers menu dropping in May.

After facing its most challenging period since opening in 2000, owner Fara Sutjipto is excited Denim Co. is entering its 20th year of trade and now offering lunch and early dinner options. She said they had survived the 2001 Goodwill Games, 2011 Brisbane floods, 2014 G20 Summit and the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic with multiple lockdowns. “There’s nothing that can stop this bustling South Bank coffee and breakfast institution,” she said.

Denim Co. is getting cosy now that the temperature is dropping and adding a Winter Warmers homestyle comfort dishes to the menu, bringing more variety for those after a quick and hearty lunch or early dinner option.

The new Winter Warmers lunch menu includes dishes such as Nonna’s beef lasagna: a traditional favourite. Lasagna has many versions, both within Italy and around the world, but the Denim Co. Lasagna is a more traditional take on the family-favourite recipe. Another choice on the menu is the garlic bread meatball sub: a crispy open sub smothered in garlic butter, topped with homestyle “sugo” and juicy meatballs with freshly grated parmesan and basil.

Foodies will also love the sound of the creamy pumpkin soup which is made with ginger and smooth pureed pumpkin topped with feta, garlic croutons and micro herbs. In addition to the lunch menu, Denim Co. will be adding some specialty winter hot chocolates to the menu including Sicilian orange and French mint infused hot chocolates.

Denim Co. is now open for coffee, breakfast, lunch and early dinner are Monday to Thursday 6am until 5pm, and Fri to Sun 6am until 9pm. The Winter Warmers Lunch menu is available from 19 May to warm you up this Winter.
