Award-winning Brisbane hair salon, Ella & Jade Hair, has announced its latest venture with the expansion of a new salon in Woolloongabba. The new flagship salon will open in late October, with recruitment currently open for a team of local stylists.
Following the success of Ella & Jade Algester, a three-time ‘Salon of The Year’ finalist, owner Alannah Read said she is excited to unveil the new luxury space. “Ella & Jade has built its five-star reputation through a passionate and creative team of stylists, and Woolloongabba will be no different,” Alannah said. “Recruitment is currently open, and we look forward to welcoming new stylists to the team including apprentices of all levels, senior stylists, cutters, colourists and a floor manager.”
A team of local builders will bring the fit-out to life, taking design inspiration from world-famous capital cities. “We’re excited to be using all local trades for the fit-out of the salon, as well as a Gold Coast interior designer,” Alannah said. “It’s an exposed brick space and once complete, will have a Scandinavian vibe, with touches of a New York City loft.”
Of expanding during a pandemic, Alannah said it’s something that’s been in the pipeline for a long time. “We did put the lease negotiations on hold during the start of the pandemic back in March, but we are passionate about what we do and believe in our brand and salon experience,” Alannah said.
Alannah took over the family run business two years ago, and since then, has gone on to build a successful following with the team regularly called on to work backstage at international fashion shows. Ella & Jade Woolloongabba will open in late October 2020 in Logan Road at Woolloongabba.
