The Opening Night of the first Queensland Theatre production of the 2020 Season, David Williamson’s 1987 classic, Emerald City was staged in the Playhouse, QPAC on Thursday 13 February. Directed by Sam Strong and starring Jason Klarwein, Nadine Garner, Rhys Muldoon, Marg Downey, Ray Chong Nee and Megan Hind, Emerald City is the tale of a married couple who move from Melbourne to Sydney to find fame and fortune but discover it’s not quite what they dreamed. Full of ‘80s fashion and witty dialogue, Emerald City is as funny and insightful today as it was in 1987. Emerald City runs until February 29 with tickets available at www.queenslandtheatre.com.au
