Brisbane French Theatre is presenting the Parisian hit play “Simone Says,” an outrageously funny show which revisits the evolution of women’s condition in France from the 1950s until today. Through everyday life scenes, the play follows three lines of women over four generations, taking us on an historic journey complete with song parodies, and historical fact checks by a flamboyant host, Simone.
The play is enjoying a phenomenal success in France, where it has been seen by over 72,000 people since it opened in 2013. This play is performed in French, with English surtitles projected above the stage on a wide screen.
The play is recommended for an audience 15+. It contains mature themes, coarse language and sexual references that may offend some audience members.
