In 2019 The Queensland Symphony Orchestra are putting on a Festival of Folk. Folk and gypsy traditions have inspired classical composers for centuries. By creating orchestral spin-offs of folk music, composers could pay homage to their homeland while also creating spectacular new sounds. In this Festival of Folk concert there will be plenty of dances, sea songs, and rhapsodies from around the world that will move and transport you, and hopefully have you tapping your toes too.
