Bereaved parents around Australia will pause to remember their babies who have passed, joining thousands of others around the world in observing International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day – a valuable awareness-raising opportunity, encouraging more public conversations about miscarriage, stillbirth and newborn death, thereby increasing the kinds of support bereaved families can expect after their baby has died. Landmarks around Australia will be lit up pink and blue in recognition of the day. Parent case studies and media interviews are available to support this story. Sands have organised a ‘Walk to Remember’ in Brisbane so that ‘together we walk the steps our precious babies never took’. Details can be found here.
