Fashion social enterprise Magpie Goose is coming to Avid Kitchen and Garden to share its clothing featuring unique prints designed by Aboriginal artists from across Australia. All designs are hand screen printed, and then made ethically in Sydney into fabulous statement clothing pieces. On show and to purchase will be new prints from Borroloola (gulf of carpentaria) artists Nancy McDinny and Stewart Hoosan, as well as a special collaboration with Jinibara artists (Woodford / Maleny / Glass house mountains country north of Brisbane), which was launched recently at Woodford Folk Festival. Hear local Jinibara Artists Uncle Noel Blair and Jason Murphy talk about their featured designs at 6pm on Friday, and 11am on Saturday.
