Problem-Wisdom: Thai Art in the 1990s is showcasing contemporary art in Thailand at Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). The exhibition represents artists’ responses to political instability and social issues, and the relationship between the country’s contemporary art, spirituality and traditions, revealing the continued importance of Buddhism in both art and life in Thailand. Significant works by Thailand influential arts Montien Boonma and Vasan Sitthiket are featured in the exhibition.
