Queensland Ballet celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Li Cunxin AO‘s Artistic Directorship in 2022, with a new season that includes favourites, blockbusters and new works. Giselle is the supernatural tale of a young peasant girl with a passion of dancing who is courted by Albrecht, a duke pretending to be a peasant. After Giselle finds out that Albrecht is already engaged and dies of a broken heart, she is turned into a Wilis, a vengeful spirit that preys on young men, and has to choose between revenge or love.
