Queensland Ballet brings the enchanting Christmas Eve story to life at the QPAC Lyric Theatre. The Nutcracker will feature a dance by the Sugar Plum fairy, a Waltz of the Flowers in the Land of the Sweets, and elements of family parties, festive ornaments, mice, toys, and lollies. Experience the dream and imagination of a young girl through the art of dance. This classical ballet was first performed in Russia in 1892, while Queensland Ballet’s production was choreographed by Ben Stevenson OBE in 1976 and premiered for Brisbane audiences in 2013. Now in its ninth season, be captivated once again by the beloved Christmas tradition of The Nutcracker.
