Inspiration can strike anywhere, which is the them of this Queensland Symphony Orchestra‘s Sunday session, Tradies and Artists. performances will include: Zar und Zimmermann, Tsar and Carpenter, which is a comic opera set in shipyards; Weber’s Der Freischütz about Max, a forester and marksmen; Wagner’s Die Meistersinger, which features the 16th century Meistersinger (Master Singers) guild, an association of amateur artists who are master craftsmen; as contrast, The Great Gate of Kiev, which is about looking at a painting by Hartmann.
