The fourth annual Fish Lane Festival will bring food, drink and dance to South Brisbane from midday until late on Saturday 11 May.

In a Fish Lane Festival first, punters can enter from the new northern extension on Hope Street to find a Somersby Jazz Stage surrounded by plenty of seating, greenery and the Somersby bus serving up refreshing ciders. Dine on signature dishes from local favourites Birds Nest and Grassfed, or try the custom Gelato S’Mores from Messina while soaking up some of Brisbane’s best blues talent. Punters can also sip on Fish Lane Festival’s very own Summer Ale or Session Ale, available exclusively in the Somersby Garden.

The Colonial Brewing Co Main Stage will once again take up residence outside The Fox Hotel offering a diverse live music experience for all ages. Newcomers to the festival Only Specialty Coffee will be serving caffeine nearby while The Fox Hotel’s own Nugget Bar and Pizza Bar will be serving up everything from vegan nuggets to New Yorker, Italiano and California pizzas. Enjoy a custom cocktail from the Pimms Kombi bar or Espresso Martini bar with plenty of room for dancing in front of the stage after the sun goes down.

Dive deeper down into Fish Lane to discover the Tanqueray Gin Jungle joined by a selection of Brisbane’s finest house, disco, funk and party DJs. The alfresco stage comes alive after dark with accompaniment from live saxophone and trumpet til late and plenty of refreshment options, including speciality Tanqueray cocktails, a selection of wines from Vasse Felix or a Red Bull spritz.

Making its Fish lane Festival debut, Big Roddy’s Rippin’ Rib Shack will sit alongside the well-seasoned Julius Pizzeria kitchen with plenty of shade for the kid’s play area and more seating for extended grazing. Cork & Chroma will return with their popular Paint and Sip Workshops and a new drop-in art space. Bookings are essential for the hour-long sessions led by a Cork & Chroma artist. Everyone will create a painting inspired by Fish Lane itself, and receive a canvas to take home.

The Saccharomyces laneway, which will be transformed into an outdoor dining precinct with a side of music being served up from in-house DJs to complement its signature dishes and of course, plenty of beers to choose from.
