Good food and wine is nothing without good company to share it with, and this year the Good Food & Wine Show (GFWS), presented by Citi, will again offer an exciting line-up to discover, taste, share and enjoy at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 October. Visitors will have the chance to become immersed in all things food and wine, as they explore returning show favourites and masterclasses new to the Good Food program.

In a new concept for its Princess Cruises Theatre, presented by ILVE, GFWS asked some of Australia’s best chefs to invite someone on stage with them, someone who has shared the stories behind their cooking or who they are inspired to cook or entertain with. Australian food icons, Matt Moran and Maggie Beer, will show guests how to create a fail-proof, great Australian barbecue, while Miguel Maestre and his brothers will create the perfect Sunday lunch. Local favourites Alistair McLeod and Matt Golinski will take visitors back to the Ready Steady Cook days with an entertaining demonstration, and chef Darren Robertson (Three Blue Ducks and The Farm Byron Bay) will take to the stage with partner Magdalena Roze.

The weekend is not just about the food; for the wine-lovers GFWS will educate and inspire novices and connoisseurs with a variety of masterclasses and exhibitors on the show floor. Travel from the Barossa to the vineyards of the Granite Belt, stopping at regions in between, as attendees uncover local gems and find new favourites from Australia and abroad. Riedel will take connoisseurs on a journey of appreciation exploring the best from the show’s exhibitors in the Riedel Drinks Lab, with free sessions running each day, while the Wine Selectors Cellar Door Session will leave attendees with knowledge to impress at that next dinner party. Returning show favourites include Tucker’s Natural Cheese Alley; Good Food Village; and the Cape Mentelle VIP lounge, where you can take in the energy of the Princess Cruises Theatre.
