A taste of Noosa is now much closer with Happy Pops now open at South Bank. Following the announcement of their second location earlier this month, the new Happy Pops store has been undergoing finishing touches and is now open.

A completely hand-crafted guilt free treat, Happy Pops create and sell premium artisanal gelato and sorbet using natural Australian ingredients. The flavours are fun, sophisticated, and intrinsically healthy using all natural Australian ingredients and no preservatives. Since first opening in 2018, chef and maker Augusta Puttkammer together with husband Ian, have been working hard on the offering, to the point of perfection and now with a second store, they want to share their love of hand-crafted gelato with Brisbane.“We are bursting with excitement to finally be open in Brisbane!  It’s something we have had in the works for a little while and Southbank is the perfect second destination for us”, says Augusta.

A place for the young and young at heart, the shop design is light and fresh, featuring a pink pastel tiled wall and glass cabinets housing a range of pre-made pops and delicious toppings. Upon arriving, Happy Poppers can select from either a pre-made premium ($7) or kids mini pops (from $3) or guests can make their own pops through an easy three step process. Also offering vegan friendly options, this gelato is up there with the best, taking out top gongs at this year’s Royal Qld Food & Wine Show with a Silver (highest ranking in this class) for Ice Cream (Fruit Pavlova flavour) and Gold for Gelato (Coconut & Raspberry flavour).  Also available on the menu are waffles (on rainy days), soft serve, and Happy Shakes.
