The audience was in stitches at the world premiere of Queensland Theatre’s L’Appartement on opening night, 8 August at Cremorne Theatre QPAC. The dramedy about an Australian couple grappling with cultural identity and privilege on their belated honeymoon at an Airbnb in Paris had the audience calling more. At curtain close, there were three encores. The cast, crew, and creators were ecstatic with the praise, as they made their way to the after-party, which was held at the stylish Soleil Pool Bar at Rydges South Bank. The show is the world premiere season of L’Appartement and directorial debut of writer Joanna Murray-Smith. L’Appartement is running till Saturday, August 31.
