St Laurence’s College opened its doors to the community for the annual Twilight Open Day on Thursday 11 March 2021.
College Principal Chris Leadbetter shared, “It was wonderful to have families join us to learn about what we offer at St Laurence’s College, experience the Lauries difference and learn about the Lauries Journey for boys. I thank our outstanding student tour guides who have made each family feel welcome, as well our dedicated College staff.”
Students led guided tours around the campus, sharing pieces of College history and what College life is like as a Lauries student. Families were also given the opportunity to speak to teaching and support staff, view academic and creative displays of student work, enjoy interactive activities, musical performances and attend information sessions.
Future parent, Renee D, said that her Open Day experience couldn’t be topped in any way. “From being welcomed by the violins to the positive, informative speeches in ERPAC, the impeccably mannered young men throughout the College offering assistance and directions, to the very pleasant and informative guided tour and delicious food and coffee! My son made a point of telling me he cannot wait to start next year! Thank you for a wonderful experience as we discovered the Lauries Journey and all the College has to offer my son when he starts soon!”
