The West End Electric hosted its grand opening with the premiere of global sensation circus-cabaret show LIMBO – The Return. Following the unprecedented success of their Sydney theatre, The Grand Electric, the globally prolific Strut & Fret announced a permanent new theatre in Brisbane’s West End, The West End Electric.

It is a dazzling two-storey building sitting near West Village. The ground floor is a theatre with 400+ seats, a bar and a Moët & Chandon vending machine. You can also watch the show from the upper floor where the parties are held. LIMBO – The Return wowed the audience in West End with a cast of world-renowned circus performers and prolific musicians in its Queensland premiere last week. As part of the Brisbane Festival, LIMBO – The Return will be performing in Brisbane for a limited time only.

After the success of LIMBO’s world tour from 2013 to 2019, the original cast is coming back with boundless love and energy. From the dancers to the musicians, everyone is so multi-talented and enthusiastic. The venue is immediately lit up by their performance.

Acrobatic dancer Hilton Denis from Sydney is the mastermind behind the dancing performance. Joining him are the Spanish acrobat and slack rope daredevil David Marco, the UK’s rope virtuoso Ben Loader, seductive fire-eating singer Clara Fable, and ballet and contemporary dancer Maria Moncheva from Vienna. The live band led by New York’s electric-acoustic composer Sxip Shirey, alongside Australian musicians Grant Arthur and Mick Stuart, is the highlight of the show. The music is fun and experimental, bringing the most atmospheric scene to the venue.

LIMBO – The Return is the opening performance of the new venue, The West End Electric. The show is the perfect combination of visual and aural enjoyment. For circus lovers, music lovers, or people just looking for excitement, this show is not to be missed.
