The renowned London Symphony Orchestra kicked off its first Australian tour in almost a decade in Brisbane’s Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). The Orchestra’s visit was the talk of the town with two sold-out and critically acclaimed concerts in QPAC’s Concert Hall, Concert One – Adams/Debussy/Ravel and Concert Two – Mahler’s Symphony. Led by internationally revered conductor Sir Simon Rattle in his final season as LSO Music Director, audiences gave multiple standing ovations and heartfelt appreciation for the stunning encores. QPAC also presented a special event. The 2023 Australian tour comprised 114 musicians, the largest Orchestra the LSO has ever bought to Australia.
