Three Monkeys Entertainment held Loose Connection and Sense Datum on Friday 6 April at the Woolly Mammoth. Participants enjoyed a night of live performances from artist Mental Image and stage designer Elements, watching the Woolly Mammoth transform into a psychedelic, mind-melting playground boasting a spectacular audiovisual experience.
Audiences were amazed with a laser light show filled with technicolour. Loose Connection’s sound was best described as high energy, full throttle psychedelia layered over pounding baselines. This auditory experience was then combined with the talents of one of Queensland’s best lighting and three dimensional mapping artists Mental Image who combined his talents with lasers by GC Lasers and stage design from Elements. The imagery transformed the experience bathing the audience in colour and sound. This continued with Sense Datum who delivered high-grade psychedelia with a solid blend of driving baselines, high-grade melody and twisted percussion.
