VIP guests and subscribers were treated to a view from The Penthouse at Emporium Hotel South Bank on Monday 19 August, where Minister Enoch officially launched Opera Queensland’s Season for the year 2020. The Penthouse’s rooms were themed reflecting the key programming elements. The rooftop pool was awash with red silk as a performance artist wove her way through the water. Opera superstar, Rebecca Cassidy, serenaded the VIP guests with a song from Tristan und Isolde. Queensland’s premiere opera company well and truly wowed VIP guests and subscribers. The organization strives to integrate opera into the lives of Queensland inhabitants, with core values such as respect, listening, collaboration, and ambition.
