OzHarvest CEO Ronni Kahn and Cr Vicki Howard were on hand at BCEC to help celebrate OzHarvest Brisbane’s 8th Birthday on November 27, spreading joy to people in need. With 100 cakes on display and over 200 friends, sponsors and VIPS, the event was a culmination of the month long Cakes for a Cause campaign, whereby Brisbane’s best chefs and cake makers baked 100 cakes that were then sponsored by a local business or generous individual, before being given to a Brisbane-based charity to enjoy. Funds raised from The Cakes for a Cause initiative have allowed OzHarvest to deliver more than 100,000 more meals to people in need over the busy end of year period.
