In front of a capacity crowd of 700, Queensland Theatre launched Season 2020 at Rydges South Bank. Next year will mark the company’s 50th season of stage stories and the final under the artistic directorship of Sam Strong. QT is confirming itself as the national home of new stories, with 50 per cent of the season being world premieres including the staging of what promises to be THE theatrical event of the year, in the highly anticipated adaptation of Brisbane author, Trent Dalton’s immensely successful novel, Boy Swallows Universe.
