National bookkeeping and tax company Shoebox Books & Tax has opened in West End with franchise owner and experienced finance professional Olena Newton at the helm.
Originally from Russia and now residing in Brisbane for almost a decade, Ms Newton has mountains of qualifications and expertise including a Master of Professional Accounting and years of working in public practice as an Accountant, which makes running her own Shoebox Books business the next step for her.
Ms Newton says starting a business during the last year was a bit nerve-wracking, but bookkeeping was the perfect choice. “With my experience and passion for finance and business, I knew growing my own small business was what I wanted. Then one day I saw a car driving with Shoebox Books signage and started researching. Fast forward a few months and now I have the privilege of owning Shoebox Books West End and work with clients all over South Brisbane, West End, Yeronga, Tarragindi and further!”
Shoebox Books & Tax is a bookkeeping and tax franchise with 50+ Franchisees across Australia. Founded by two best friends who wanted to create a business model that gave people both work-life balance & the chance to earn a substantial income, Yvette Coad & Sandie Menzies are beyond excited to expand into the West End area. “We have nine Shoebox Franchises already in Brisbane so being able to have Olena join us and tackle West End [and surrounds] is amazing,” Ms Coad said.
Ms Menzies feels clients in West End will love Olena. “The area is thriving in both small and big businesses, and in so many different industries.”
