The Sound Garden Singer Songwriter Competition for 2021 is in full swing.

The eight-week music event, which kicked off Sunday 21 February, is a new addition to Brisbane’s ever-growing and wonderfully expressive scene of singer-songwriters. This competition comes after The Sound Garden hosted a successful Battle of the Bands program in 2020.

By showcasing local Singer-Songwriters, The Sound Garden is expressing its support to the local entertainment industries by encouraging and reuniting crowds after a year of many empty stages here in Brisbane. In doing so, this competition hopes to unveil the unseen and underrated talent of Brisbane and discover the city’s next big singers.

The singer songwriter competition will showcase local, home grown talent every Sunday for eight weeks, with a huge range of prizes up for grabs including a brand-new microphone, Gigawatt hire voucher (worth $500), Dreadnought Takamine Acoustic Guitar, chromatic tuner, acoustic padded guitar bag, Stone & Wood cartons, one-day recording package at Record Work and vouchers for The Sound Garden Voucher (worth $500).
