In what has been described as a ‘gem of a concert’, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Daniel Blendulf, took audiences on a thrilling journey that led to two jubilant standing ovations in the QPAC Concert Hall on Saturday 9 June. The concert blasted off with Skipworth’s dazzling ‘masterpiece’ Spiritus, followed by Debussy’s ground-breaking Nocturnes, featuring the enchanting voices of Canticum Chamber Choir and concluded with soloist Pablo Ferrandez (accompanied by acting concertmaster Laurence Jackson) performing Dvo?ák’s famous Cello Concerto in B Minor
