The Queensland sporting community hung up their sports uniforms and dressed to the nines for the 24th Annual Queensland Sport Awards held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) on Wednesday 28 November. The 700 guests gathered in the Plaza Ballroom concourse and the Plaza Ballroom which was lit up in stunning fashion, sparkling as brightly as the winners of the evening. Olympic swimming champion Cate Campbell took out the award for The Courier-Mail Channel Seven 2018 Queensland Sport Star of the Year and Curtis McGrath won The McDonald’s 2018 Queensland Sport Athlete with a disability award for his achievements in canoeing.
