The Southern Cross Soloists (SXS) held its first concert of the year in the ensemble’s 2018 Sunday Afternoon Concert Series at QPAC on 26 February. The Reimaginations concert featured Pulcinella, Stravinsky’s reworking of a piece by Pergolesi, and Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations was performed, inspired by Mozart and Ravel’s La Valse reimagination of Viennese Waltz in a rather comical way. Hindson’s Rush for guitar and string quartet was rearranged for oboe, string and then piano trio.
