Return to the pride lands with the new live animation adaption of The Lion King. Disney has brought the fan favourite movie to life for a second time through pioneering film techniques and powerful story telling.

The star studded cast is lead by Donald Glover (Community), voicing boisterous Simba, and Beyoncé as Nala.  The original voice actor of Mufusa, James Earl Jones,  once again rules the show. Other notable cast members include Seth Rogan and Billy Eichner.

A story about the primal forces of life such as destiny, family and identity, The Lion King follows young cub Simba on his journey as he learns about boyhood and royal duty. This new adaption of the classic story stays faithful to the original spirit with the updated graphics adding  depth to the desert.  The live action makes the heart-warming moments sweeter and action scenes gut wrenching.

The soundtrack is soulful and full of nostalgia with some surprise additions. Beyonce and Donald Glover’s vocals are a major drawcard with the pairs’ duet of Can you Feel The Love Tonight stealing the show.

Fun for the family along with an important message, The Lion King remains attractive for audiences of all ages. The cast of characters makes it a relatable movie that rules.
