Seven world class actors from Australia and New Zealand united on the Bille Brown Theatre stage for the opening night of Queensland Theatre‘s Hedda by Melissa Bubnic on Thursday 15 November. The play, which is a re-imagining of the Ibsen classic, Hedda Gabler, showcases a triumvirate of incredibly talented women and men, led by Logie Award-winning actor Danielle Cormack. More than 300 invited guests marvelled at Bubnic’s striking and powerful translation of Ibsen’s radical spirit and interrogation of class and gender. Hedda by Melissa Bubnic and directed by Paige Rattray runs until Saturday 8 December.
