From a backyard gathering to a local institution, Yours & Owls Festival has escalated into a must-attend event on the national festival calendar. An event that showcases Wollongong at its finest, the beautiful beachside location, the wildly-diverse line-up, close to 70 acts, across four stages, the celebration of local talent and that unshakeable feeling that you are part of something bigger.
Set to take place Saturday and Sunday of the October long weekend, everything you’ve come to love and expect from the Yours & Owls is on offer across the green, green grass of Stuart Park for the sixth consecutive year. Feast your eyes on what’s on offer for this year’s edition of what’s become affectionately known as “the Fezzie.”
The 2019 line up consists of some spectacular chart-toppers, some underdog performers and a whole heap of talented musicians. Fresh from a completely sold-out national tour in support of her ARIA-winning smash debut Love Monster, Amy Shark will be bringing her slew of pop anthems to Wollongong for the first time since 2016. Of course, a lot’s changed for the Gold Coast native since then – she’s hit the top 5 of the Triple J Hottest 100 twice, scored four platinum singles on the Australian charts, performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and even closed out the Commonwealth Games. Shark will be headlining alongside Australian Courtney Bartnett, dance music producer Golden Features and festival giant Hot Dub Time Machine.
To only better this line up are supporting artists like Meg Mac, Ruel, Skeggs, Sneaky Sound System, Thundamentals and Vera Blue to name a few. There is no better reason to put on some glitter, travel down the coast and celebrate some great music from Australian and New Zeland artists.
