Queensland Theatre‘s Fangirls opened at the Billie Brown Theatre on Thursday 12 September, welcomed with open arms by a vocal and enthusiastic crowd. The Queensland Theatre and Brisbane Festival’s co production delves into the phenomena of Fangirls, exploring first love, fan culture and the danger of underestimating teenage girls. The brand new Australian musical is directed by Paige Rattray and also features Chika Ikogwe, Kimberley Hodgson, James Majoos Ayesha Madon, Sharon Millerchip and singing superstar, Aydan. The production continues at QT’s Bille Brown Theatre until October 5.
