West End local and Vintaged Bar + Grill Chef de Partie, Stefan Preuss will face some of Australasia’s best culinary masters in the upcoming Hilton Food & Beverage Masters competition at the end of this month. The annual competition sees exceptional Hilton talent compete across bar, barista and culinary disciplines. Winning the hotly contested spot as Hilton Brisbane finalist late last year, Stefan will be competing in the footsteps of his predecessor and 2019 Culinary Cup winner, Charlie Song.
Refining his skills over eight years in the industry, four of which have been spent across at Hilton Hotels, Stefan is ready for the challenge. Keeping his cards close to his chest, Stefan will be competing in a number of tests including a mystery-box style challenge.
With dreams to open a sustainable permaculture farm, Stefan is very much a paddock to plate cook, planning to showcase local and seasonal produce throughout the competition.
