Next month the much anticipated Brisbane Festival will be in full swing, delivering a line-up of talented local and international talent. The Courier- Mail Spiegeltent’s music line-up includes artists such as Destroyer, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Jen Cloher, The Teskey Brothers, Tkay Maidza and Touch Sensitive and CC: Disco B2B.

Opening the string of performances at the Spiegeltent is Tkay Maidza. Tkay has risen out of the underground to become one of Australia’s most loved electrifying artists. This will be the first headline show for the Zimbabwean-born artist. The following weekend will see Touch Sensitive and CC: Disco B2B take the stage with three hours of back-to-back tunes that will call for plenty of dancing.

Destroyer will be making his Australian debut, providing audiences with a rare glimpse into the mind of Dan Beja. Dan’s ever-changing style from baroque pop to rampaging glam rock will definitely keep the crowd entertained. Melbourne singer/songwriter Jen Cloher will also take the stage as she showcases her latest, self titled album – a letter in triplicate to themes of love, music and Australia. Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have been hailed as one of the breakout stars of the Australian music scene and will also be performing their debut album Hope Downs. The band’s performance will follow their sold-out tour which included festival performances at Primavera and Coachella. Finally the Teskey Brothers will wrap up the lineup at the Spiegeltent with their signature blues and soul old-school Motown sound.

The performances will take place in the centre of the Treasury Brisbane Arcadia at the South Bank Cultural Forecourt. The venue is a unique cocoon of wood, velvet and glass, with a circular style stage with a design that dates back to hundreds of years ago when humans used to gather in circles to shares tales.
