The Purple carpet was rolled out for the official opening night of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Sunday 5 September in QPAC’s Lyric Theatre. Audiences were swept into a world of pure imagination with the uplifting multi-Helpmann Award nominated show. The cast including Stephen Anderson as Willy Wonka, Robert Grubb as Grandpa Joe, Lucy Maunder as Mrs Bucket and Flynn Nowlan (one of four boys sharing the role of Charlie) received a standing ovation and won the hearts of all. The show’s season has been extended to until 3rd October 2021.
