Local family run catering business Chez Nous Corporate is offering a new ‘Chez Nous To You’ range of freshly housemade comfort meals and DIY pasta packs conveniently delivered to your door, with a contact free option.
The event catering business has pivoted in response to the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) like most in the local hospitality and event industry, who have had to adapt quickly in order to keep their services running to fit the changing needs of their clients and the wider community.
Managing director Penny Culpo swiftly transitioned Chez Nous’ corporate offering to suit those working remotely, self isolating or simply struggling to source basic grocery products. Many patrons have been keen to support this initiative, sympathising with business owners like Culpo, who have worked hard to have gotten to where they are today. “Our business is certainly bearing the brunt, made worst by the fact we service and own West End event venue The Joinery, which has been forced to close as a result of government regulations, but Chez Nous Corporate Catering continues to operate and are dedicated to fulfilling the changing needs of our clients and the wider community alike,” Culpo says.
In French, Chez Nous translates to ‘our house‘: an apt name for this family run business. Established in 2003, the small company prides itself on bringing quality and tradition to their catering services. “For many, food is a source of comfort, connection and control. And right now, we need a generous helping of all those things,” she adds.
As we are faced with social distancing and the depletion of grocery stock, the ‘Chez Nous To You’ home delivered comfort meal menu is designed to enjoy fresh, to gift to those you know most in need or to freeze for use over the coming weeks. Some of the hearty, homemade range includes traditional favourites like lasagne, beef bourguignon, beef and red wine pie, and pumpkin soup. Also, as part of the new home delivery menu, DIY pasta packs such as homemade tomato pasta or basil pesto, dried spaghetti and grated Grana Padano, are on offer. Pick up options are available as well.
